Another Anti-virus related SNAFU

In the news: another SNAFU related to malfunctioning anti-virus software. See: Symantec breaks Chinese XP systems due to a false positive.

I've talked about living without antivirus software in previous blog posts. This is yet another example of the risks associated with having these overweight and flawed 'guardians' installed on your computer.

Now is a good time to review your decision to rely upon these kinds of tools. Personally, I think the cure is far worse than the disease.
